Ten Tiny Breaths by K.A. Tucker

Kacey Cleary has been through a lot. She was involved in a drunk-driving accident where she lost her parents, best friend, and boyfriend. The only family she has left is her little sister, Livie. Kacey couldn’t cope with the loss so she uses sex and drugs. They live with their aunt and uncle until her uncle slides into her little sister’s bed.

So they runaway.

Now Kacey has to take care of her sister. They come to this Miami apartment complex. It’s there that she becomes friends with Storm and her daughter, Mia. Storm becomes a good friend and helps Kacey get a job. She also meets Trent. They have this attraction and he makes her feel alive and things she hasn’t felt in a while. Their relationship grows….

Then a secret comes to life about Trent’s own past comes to light. Things change…

I love this book. The unexpected twist at the end was totally a surprise! The characters were wonderfully developed.  A must read! I cried a whole bunch. Just beautifully written. This book was about healing and forgiveness.

“Because forgiveness has the power to heal.”
